Previously On Laguna Beach…

LC: (V.O.) (Shows Catalina) I thought our senior trip to Catalina was gonna be one last blast before graduation. Until I found out Lo couldn’t go.

LC: (Her and Lo are talking) I can’t believe you’re not coming.

LC: (V.O.) (Shows her trying to put up a tent) So I had to rough it. Without my best friend. (She hits her hand)

LC: It’s dirty everywhere.

LC: (V.O.) (She tries to sit in her chair) I’ll just say camping sucks. (Shows Stephen and Kristin) Of course there was Kristin’s annoying voice the whole time.

Kristin: Stephen, I’ve been to camp. I know what I’m doing.

LC: (V.O.) (Shows Stephen dressing up as a bear) Oh yeah, and we were attacked by a bear…named Stephen. (Shows Stephen attacking them and then them going home) I couldn’t wait to get back to Laguna and tell Lo all about it. (Shows LC and Lo at Lo’s house)

Lo: Was somebody mean to you?

LC: (V.O.) (Shows them getting ready for graduation) But now, it’s time to get ready for the biggest day of our lives.

CUT TO: LC’s House

Lo: Honestly, I was thinking about it, I never really actually thought this day would come.

LC: Nuh- uh.

Lo: Like we’re done with high school.

LC: The year went by so quickly.

Lo: It really, really did. (Lo takes the yearbook) Hey! Lauren there’s you! Most irresistible one in the whole wide world. (Shows her picture) Don’t you look pretty? Okay. Stephen Colletti, the life of the party. (Shows his picture) And Sahara. Oh that’s cute. (Shows Trey’s picture)

LC: Look at Trey.

Lo: Trey, Trey.

LC: Yeah, I went into the activities office today, and we’re talking about line of march,  and I was like “I wanna do that” so we can put all our friends together.

Lo: Yeah, you did right?

LC: Yeah.

Lo: That’s rad. I’m so excited. (She squeals) I’m just so excited to graduate.

Lo: (Looking at a paper) Here’s the stage.

Ellen: Okay.

Lo: I’m in row A. And so I go up this way, and so I come down this first…

Ellen: Okay.

Lo: I’m in the one closest to the ocean.

Ellen: Okay. And you are…you’re in the first row?

Lo: Yeah. Because Lauren did the graduation seats because she put all our friends in the first two rows.

Ellen: Okay. Which side are you on? My side?

Lo: I don’t know.

Ellen: It doesn’t matter. So if we sit around here, we’ll be able to get both of you guys.

Lo: Yeah.

Ellen: Okay that’s good. Bye sweetie.

Lo: Bye.

Ellen: Love you.

Lo: Call me.

CUT TO: Outside

Morgan: Wait, so what is the senior video for?

Claire: Um, it’s gonna be like a DVD for everyone in the class. Um, senior class that documents all the dances we’ve had.

Morgan: This should be interesting.

Claire: Sit here.

Morgan: Okay. Cool. Ooh, pretty.

Claire: Let’s do some simple questions.

Morgan: Okay.

Claire: All right. Where do you hope to see yourself in 10 years?

Morgan: Married in a beautiful house in a bay, with um, who knows? Maybe a kid but I have to have like a boutique, and like a cute little store I’d open.

Claire: Do you plan on coming back to Laguna?

Morgan: Oh yeah. I love Laguna. I definitely want to live here when I’m older.

CUT TO: Lo’s House – 9 Hours to Graduation

Lo: So where do you want me to put a bag so you’ll take it with you where…?

Ellen: Put it here by my purse.

Lo: And then, am I allowed to bring a bag to Grad night?

Ellen: A small bag. And no cell phone.

Lo: How small is small?

Ellen: Just a little…something small.

Lo: I don’t even own a bag this small.

Ellen: Bring your little summer bag.

Lo: Like a clutch? Oh, my summer bag. Oh cute.

Ellen: Really, it’s not a fashion show tonight.

Lo: It’s always a fashion show Mom. Always.

CUT TO: Outside

LC is doing the senior video

Claire: Are there friends you’re especially gonna try to keep in touch with?

LC: Probably just my closest friends, like I’ll stay close with Lo of course, ‘cause she’s like my best friend. I’ll probably stay close with Stephen + Dieter too. Just ‘cause I’ll be going to college right next to Stephen, + Dieter’s always been such a good friend.

Claire: Any hopes for our generation?

LC: Um, I don’t know. I think Trey will take care of us.

CUT TO: 8 Hours to Graduation

Trey is skateboarding. Stephen and Dieter laugh when he messes up. Then they all go sit outside Trey’s house.

Stephen: I seriously can not wait. I can not wait to go to school. I can not wait till I come back and visit. Like see how all you guys are doing and all that, like to see how everyone’s changed. Polster’s gonna finally come out, I can’t wait to see that. (They all laugh) Dude, when we go to college, the girls are gonna be so much different. It’s gonna be insane.

Dieter: They’re gonna be extremely slutty.

Stephen: Not slutty, just experienced. Just experienced is how I like to put it dude. And they’re so much easier to…(snaps his fingers) just go.

Dieter: Just easier to get nasty.

Stephen: Just wear jimmy, maybe even two.

Polster: You guys are gonna stay together?

Dieter: You’re not gonna stay together?

Polster: With Kristin?

Dieter: Are you?

Stephen: No. It’ll be on hold, like we’ll still talk and be really good friends, like but it’s not gonna be talking every day, like “What did you do today?” like trying to make sure we know exactly what’s going on between the two of us every day. ‘Cause that’s stupid.

Dieter: You’re too far away.

Stephen: College happens once. You know, you gotta go big.

Polster: What’s going on with you?

Trey: With me?

Stephen: What is happening with your chick? You guys still together?

Trey: Dude, 3,000 miles ain’t gonna do s**t.

Stephen: Dude 300 miles is breaking us up. ‘Cause of course 3,000 miles is gonna break you guys up.

Trey: Yeah.

Polster: Dude I don’t know man. I think 40 minutes would break me up.

CUT TO: Kristin’s House

Kristin: Look at Stephen!

Jessica: So you and Stephen aren’t gonna stay together?

Kristin: Nuh-uh. I guess we’ll kind of be together when he comes home.

Jessica: Yeah.

Kristin: I don’t want a boyfriend at college either. I’m excited for next year to be single and just hang out within our grade.

Jessica: If he did hook up with Lauren, would you be more pissed than if he were to hook up with some random girl?

Kristin: Like random girl? Well, yeah. Yeah, obviously. Lauren thinks she’s like really cool but she’s a bitch.

Jessica: In the summer, it’ll be fun with them here, and we don’t know what’s gonna happen. Like the summer must as well have fun with them.

Kristin: Oh yeah, yup.

Jessica: While they’re here.

CUT TO: Outside

Stephen is doing the senior video

Stephen: Worst memory? Um, the only one that kills is just, probably bad moments with girlfriends. (Claire laughs) I guess. (Stephen laughs)

Lo: Yeah?

Lo’s Dad: Can you come out and give me a hand with some groceries, please?

Lo: Yeah. (She puts her pen down and gets up. She goes out front and sees a white Jetta with a bow on it) Daddy?

Lo’s Dad: Yes?

Lo: Is that mine?

Lo’s Dad: If you’re the graduate, it is.

Lo: Really?

Lo’s Dad: Yeah. (They hug)

Lo: Thank you. Thank you so much.

Lo’s brother: I graduated too.

Lo: It’s so pretty. It’s so pretty.

Lo’s Dad: I got you a skateboard bud.

Lo’s Brother: I already got one.

Lo: There’s even a bow on it. This is like every child’s dream.

Lo’s Dad: I wrapped it myself, sweetie. (She laughs. She gets in it)

Lo: Oh my goodness. New car smell.

Lo’s Dad: Try the radio sweetie.

Lo: How do I look?

Claire: Hey Trey.

Trey: Whoa.

Claire: There you are.

Trey: Look who it is.

Claire: I was just at your house. I’m doing the senior video for school.

Trey: Serious?

Claire: I was wondering if I could do an interview with you.

Trey: Let’s do it.

Claire: All right. You mind doing it right now?

Trey: Sure.

Claire: Okay. All right Trey, so how do you feel about Laguna being called “The Bubble”?

Trey: You gotta get out. But you can still love it. It’s definitely the strongest feeling of safety I’ve ever felt in my life.

Claire: What’s your hope for our generation?

Trey: What the hell’s better than the united youth? You know, a young voice, a voice for the future that the young people can make sure that decisions being made today will benefit them when they live in the future, you know?

Then it shows Lo doing the senior video.

Then it shows a poster with pictures that says “Class if 2004” on it. Then it shows waiting to start.

Woman: I would now like to present our senior speaker, Jonathan Bernard.

Stephen: (Dieter goes up to him) Dieter sit down!

Jonathon: The graduates of Laguna Beach, we truly graduate from the community. The place where everyone knows each other or at least who everyone is. (It shows LC listening) Laguna Beach is so visually beautiful. (It shows LC + Stephen on the beach) I feel like I live inside a postcard. (Then shows Christina in her car) I know I took the ride to school every morning for granted. (Shows LC in the water) Going down Park Street, when Catalina in the distance. (Shows Stephen on the beach) The Pacific Ocean, crashing in the main beach. Life just doesn’t get much better than this. (Shows LC and Lo taking a picture in the limo after prom) This place is so special, (Shows Stephen and Trey) most of us don’t wanna leave. (Shows Morgan and Christina after Christina’s birthday party) Even though we know we have to. Laguna Beach has been our cocoon. (Shows Jim with LC and LC’s sister)  Here, our loving parents and teachers make sure we are pampered, protected, and provided for. (Shows Christina’s mom doing her hair) And promoted to the next level in life. Today, we leave Laguna and head out on our own into the real world. Well it’s over now. I’m sure I’m not the first to say I’m gonna miss Laguna Beach High School. A part of me has been dying to finish school and move on. Part of me wants to stay here forever. I think some of you may feel the same. Congratulations my fellow graduates, it’s time to shed our cocoon. (Everyone gets up and cheers)

Woman: It’s an honored privilege to declare the graduates tonight of Laguna Beach High School. Move your tassels from right to left. (It shows everyone do that) Ladies and gentleman, please join me in congratulating the graduating class of 2004of Laguna Beach High School. (Everyone throws their hat up in the air. Then it shows LC and Lo hug. Then Morgan hug her dad. Then Stephen and Kristin hug and kiss. Then it shows Lo with her family and Stephen and Kristin again.)

LC: It’s really hot.

Lo: It is hot out, but it’s nice. I’m so excited to go to school.

LC: I’m sad to leave this though.

Lo: Boys, boys, boys.

LC: Boys? Oh yeah.

Lo: Summer new boys.

LC: You’re gonna meet a lot of guys. I think it’s gonna be harder for me to meet guys at a fashion major.

Lo: Yeah, perhaps.

LC: But we’ll probably find some pretty boys in Santa Barbara.

Lo: Yeah I think I’m gonna be on the lookout for hot water polo players.

LC: That’d be nice. Can I go get something to drink?

Lo: Yeah, I’ll go with you. I’m really hot. Yeah let’s go inside. Buster you wanna go inside? (They go inside. Her dog follows them)
