ACT
1.[1.
INT. Susan Hollander's Old House. Day.]
(T-Bag,
still zip-cuffed to the radiator, screams and frantically tries to break free.
Sirens draw closer and closer. The police knock on the door and T-Bag freezes.
He looks down at his barely live hand.)
Officer
(o/s): This is the Tribune police.
[2.
INT. Susan Hollander's Old House. Day.]
(The
police kick down the door and enter, guns drawn.)
Officer: This is the Tribune police. Make yourself known.
(Camera
pans around the room - its empty.)
Officer: Code 4. All clear.
(Camera
pans in on the radiator - it's covered in blood, and tucked behind it is
T-Bag's detached hand.)
[Sporting
Goods Store - EXT - Day.]
[Title
Card - Maljamar, New Mexico.]
[3.
INT. Sporting Goods Store. Day.]
(Michael
waits at the counter. The store clerk - an old guy - comes out from the back
room.)
Store
Clerk : Hey, you're in luck. I had a
case in back.
Michael: Excellent.
Store
Clerk : Fishing reel oil. And you want
the whole case?
(He
hands Michael a little vial to inspect.)
Michael: Whole case.
Store
Clerk : And the GPS?
Michael: And the GPS.
Store
Clerk : Must do quite a bit of
fishing.
Michael: Yeah, a lot of fishing. Not a whole lot of catching.
Store
Clerk : Ninety-six dollars and 23
cents.
(Michael
counts through the money he has left. He's short.)
Michael: You know, um...I'm just gonna take the reel oil.
Store
Clerk : Thank you.
Michael: Thank you.
(The
clerk walks away through the store to help another customer. Michael stares
down at the GPS, then grabs it and makes for the door.)
Store
Clerk : Hey! You have to pay for that!
(He
hurries up to Michael and gets a hand on the GPS. They struggle over it, and
Michael shoves the old man into a display of coolers.)
Store
Clerk : Just take it. Please don't
hurt me. Please.
(Michael
hurries out of the store.)
[4.
EXT. Alley. Day.]
(Michael
hurries round a corner and sinks down by some trash cans. Horrified by what
just happened, he begins to linger on all the pain he's caused since he entered
Fox River.)
*FLASHBACKS*
Store
Clerk (v/o): You have to pay for
that!
[Michael
fires a gun into the air at the bank.]
Michael: The vault. Open it.
T-Bag (v/o): One for the team.
[T-Bag
stabs C.O. Hudson, during the riots. Michael looks on.]
Westmoreland: I wasn't going for me, I was going for my daughter.
[Michael
checks on Westmoreland's fatal wound.]
Westmoreland: Give Anna her papa's love.
[T-Bag
grabs hold of Jeanette Owens as Michael looks on.]
T-Bag: I'm gonna cut your throat out.
Nika: I loved you, Michael, but you just used me.
Bellick: Cops found your girlfriend, fish-belly white,
gargling in her own puke.
[Sara
lies unconscious on her couch after her overdose.]
Bellick: And what do you care? As long as she left the door
open for you.
[Michael
threatens Warden Pope with a shank.]
Pope
(v/o): I feel very fortunate to have
met you.
[Michael
drags a bound and gagged Pope into the office closet, and picks up a radio from
the desk.]
Michael: I'm sorry, Henry. (He hits him over the head with
the radio.)
*END
FLASHBACKS*
(Michael,
breathing hard, looks across the street and spots a Catholic Church. He stares
up at the cross on the roof.)
[Title

[5.
INT. House. Day.]
Aldo: It's about corporate interests taking over the
government. Buying elections, fighting wars. People dying so they can turn a
profit. We're trying to stop it.
Lincoln: What are you, a bunch of spies?
Aldo: Just a handful of senators, congressmen. People like
me that once worked for The Company. People willing to expose the president for
what she is. A shill, working for these corporations. We bring her down, we
bring them down.
Lincoln: What's it's got to do with me?
Aldo: Because the way we'll bring her down is also what
we're gonna use to set you free. About a week ago, we finally got a break. An
NSA analyst sympathetic to our cause finally worked his way up and got
clearance into the Echelon program.
[Flashback
images of the NSA analyst working at a computer, listening to telephone
conversations.]
Aldo: Emails, cell-phone calls, all across this country.
If it's transmitted, it goes through Echelon. It's catalogued, interpreted, and
then stored for Homeland Security. Nothing is missed by them. Nothing.
Including, by accident, for a few months after 9/11...the White House. The
analyst got his hands on a phone conversation the president had...with Terrence
Steadman. Two weeks after you supposedly killed him.
[The
analyst puts the information on flash drive and tries to leave.]
Aldo: Now, the analyst tried to get this information out
of the building.
[The
analyst is stopped by two agents.]
Agent
1 : Excuse me, sir. Could you come
with us? We need to ask you a few questions, sir. Right this way.
Aldo: Turns out someone else was snooping too.
[Governor
Tancredi picks up an envelope - it reads on the front: 'If you really want to
know'. He takes out the flash drive from the envelope and listens to it on a
laptop.]
Aldo: Someone else wanted answers about the president. I'm
convinced they're turning...
CUT
TO: Outside, Leon approaches the man guarding the front door.
Guard: Aldo and Lincoln wanna be left alone.
Leon: Sure, I understand.
(He
draws a gun and shoots the guard, twice.)
CUT
TO: Aldo and Lincoln.
Aldo: Twenty-four hours later, Tancredi is dead, the
analyst is missing and the White House Echelon tapes have been deleted from the
mainframe. The tape is still out there. And judging by how hard they're going
after Sara Tancredi, I'm pretty sure they think she has it. And I think they're
right. She's the key to this whole thing, Lincoln.
[6.
INT. House. Day.]
(Leon
slides down the hall, gun drawn. Another guard steps into the corridor and
spots him. The other guard goes for his gun, but Leon is quicker - firing again
and killing him with a single shot. The bullet casing falls to the floor and
clangs.)
(In
the next room, Lincoln looks up, suspiciously. He knows that sound. He holds up
a hand to silence Aldo, then gestures they should be quiet, and leave.)
Aldo: LJ, come with me.
(Leon
enters the room, firing the gun. Lincoln charges towards him, tackling him. In
the struggle, he is disarmed, and they knock over a knife block. The knives
fall to the floor, and so do the two guys. Lincoln punches Leon over and over
again, and Leon reaches behind him. He grabs a large carving knife, and as
Lincoln tries to get it off him, he kicks him in the stomach. Lincoln falls
backwards.)
(Leon
jumps up, kicking Lincoln again. Lincoln is dazed, but he reaches for a smaller
knife by his side. As Leon comes forward with the carving knife, Lincoln
reaches forward and stabs him with the smaller one. Leon cries out in pain, but
he still goes to go forward again with the carving knife to make a second
attack. Then a gunshot fires and Leon falls to the floor. Behind him, Jane
stands with a smoking gun.)
OPENING
CREDITS.
[Motel
- EXT - Day.]
[7.
INT. Motel. Day.]
(Kellerman
is tying Sara up with duct tape.)
Kellerman: I would imagine that you're feeling slightly
betrayed right now. I understand. As you can see, hi, my name is not Lance, and
I am not an addict. Okay. There is one thing about me that should mean a great
deal to you right now, and that is I am reasonable. If you tell me what you
know, you get to go. And then maybe, when this is all behind us, we get to grab
a piece of pie for old time's sake. Okay, come here...(He removes her gag.)
Sara: I don't know where Michael is.
Kellerman: This is not about Michael, this is about your
father. He left Washington with something that didn't belong to him...and we
need it back.
Sara: And you killed him for it.
Kellerman: I didn't, no. For what that's worth. But I hope that
his death properly illustrates the magnitude of the situation that we're in
right now. So...where is it?
Sara: I don't know what you're talking about.
Kellerman: Where is it?
Sara: I don't know what you're talking about.
Kellerman: Where is it?
Sara: I don't know what you're talking about.
Kellerman: Sara, there's a next step involved in this. And you
don't want to experience that.
(They
stare at each other for several seconds.)
Sara: I swear to God, I don't know what you're talking
about. My father didn't give me anything. I don't know what you're talking
about.
(Kellerman
doesn't believe her. He takes off his jacket and heads for the bathroom. Sara
hears the bathtub filling with water.)
[8.
INT. Confessional. Day.]
Michael: Bless me, Father, for I have sinned.
Priest: How long has it been since your last confession?
Michael: This is my first time...in a long time.
Priest: And what are the nature of your sins?
Michael: The nature? I'm not really sure.
Priest: Deep down inside your heart you know.
Michael: Righteousness, maybe. Believing the ends justify the
means.
Priest: And what are those ends?
Michael: Saving someone's life.
Priest: And the means?
Michael: I've broken just about every law you can name. But
it's not just what I've done. It's what others have done...because I let them.
Because I was doing what I thought was right. I should have known better this
time.
Priest: This time?
Michael: When I was a kid...I watched a man bleed out and
die. And I was glad. Because he deserved it.
Priest: Life is only for God to give and take, my son.
Michael: Suddenly, there was this dark space inside of me.
And I knew it was wrong. But here I am.
Priest: There is a way to stop this. Surrender your will to
God.
Michael: If I surrender now, I lose everything I love.
Priest: But do you lose your soul in the process?
Michael: Well, we all have our crosses to bear.
[9.
INT. House. Day.]
(Lincoln
washes the blood from his hands.)
LJ: You okay?
Lincoln: This is never gonna stop. They're gonna keep coming
after us.
(A
cell phone rings. It's coming from the dead guy - Leon. Lincoln picks it up.)
Aldo: Lincoln, don't.
(Lincoln
ignores him and answers it.)
Kim
(v/o): Is it done?
Lincoln: You are.
CUT
TO: Kim, in the back of a car. He closes his eyes momentarily.
Kim: Lincoln Burrows.
Lincoln: You man is dead. Just like anyone else you send to
take out my son.
Kim: We want you. This isn't about LJ. There's a very
simple way for all of this to end.
Lincoln: I'll tell you how it's gonna end. Me staring into
your dead eye with my hand around your throat.
Kim: You don't even know who I am.
(He
hangs up, but he's obviously rattled. He gives a false smile to his driver.)
Kim: How much further?
[Title
Card: County Road 17 - 75 Miles North Of The Mexican Border.]
[10.
EXT. Back Desert Road. Day.]
(A
pick up truck drops Michael off.)
Michael: Right here is good.
Man
(o/s): Right, you got it.
Michael: Thanks for the ride.
Man: No problem.
(Michael
watches the truck drive off, then he walks past a 'No Trespassing' sign into a
wide, open area, carrying the GPS and the reel oil.)
[11.
INT. Old Factory. Day.]
(Mahone
sits, trapped in the cage. Then he hears metal clanging, and footsteps. He
grabs his pistol.)
Kim: Agent Mahone. Bill Kim. I'm here to pick you up.
Mahone: I called Kellerman.
Kim: He's busy right now. Does anyone else know you're
here?
Mahone: No.
Kim: Good.
Mahone: Can you open the gate? And I need a new vehicle.
Kim: There's something you should know about me. I don't
like being out in the field. I only do so when there's been a screw-up. I'm out
in the field, Alex.
Mahone: Then why don't you open the gate, and you can hurry
back to D.C. before your shoes get dirty?
Kim: We have a lead as to where Burrows will be meeting
up with his brother. It's a place he referred to as Bolshoi Booze. That mean
anything to you?
Mahone: Yeah, it's one of a hundred tattoos on Scofield's
body.
Kim: What does it mean?
Mahone: I don't know yet.
Kim: You'll need to figure it out within the next couple
of hours. If Scofield and Burrows cross the border, they'll be out of your
jurisdiction. And you'll be of no further value to us.
Mahone
(coldly): Open the gate.
Kim: So you can do what? I wanna hear it. Straight from
the mouth of the guy who's supposed to be our closer.
Mahone: I'll get Scofield and Burrows and all the rest of
them. And then me and you and Kellerman...we're gonna part ways.
Kim: I just hope you're properly motivated. (He opens
the gate.) Because as long as you do your job, we'll forget about Shales.
(Mahone
walks out of the cage, past Kim.)
Kim: And then you can go back to Colorado and visit your
son. Cameron. He's 5, right?
(Mahone
grabs Kim by the throat, shoving him back against the cage.)
Mahone: Don't you ever mention his name again.
Kim
(smiles): There he is. That's
what I wanted to hear. (Mahone lets him go.) Get cracking, Alex. A lot
of people are relying on you.
[12.
EXT. House in Colorado. Day.]
(Lincoln
and Aldo put some thing in the trunk of a car.)
Aldo: Jane will take care of it, you can trust her.
Jane: I know this is hard, but it will work out. You have
my word.
Lincoln: Thank you.
Jane: Be careful.
(Lincoln
walks across to LJ.)
Lincoln: Listen, uh...
LJ: I know.
Lincoln: Jane's gonna look after you.
LJ: I don't even know her.
Lincoln: She's all right. She's been working with Dad for a
while. I'll, uh...I'll see you soon, I promise.
LJ: Isn't that the same thing your dad told you?
Lincoln: Yeah, but I mean it. Hey. (He hugs him, then LJ
walks away with Jane. He doesn't look back. Lincoln looks upset.)
[13.
EXT. Desert. Day.]
(Michael,
his shirt soaked in sweat, continues through the desert in the hot sun,
checking his GPS.)
[14.
INT. Mahone's Car. Day.]
(Mahone
looks at a picture of the 'bolshoi booze' tattoo, and scribbles furiously on a
pad, trying to work out the code.)
Mahone: Bo...no....
(He
sighs, scribbles something out, getting more frustrated. Then he throws down
the pad and steps out of the car. He dials a number on his cell phone.)
Mahone: Hey, it's me. Just call me when you get this, okay?
It's important.
(He
hangs up, and walks back to the car. He leans over the door, looking down
through the window and sees the tattoo upside down. He lets out a slight laugh.)
Mahone: They're numbers!
[The
numbers are highlighted in white by the camera - 32009 - 1045709.]
[15.
EXT. Desert. Day.]
(Michael's
GPS tracker bleeps - the exact same numbers are on its screen, along with the
words 'gps location locked'.)
ACT
2.
[16.
EXT. Desert. Day.]
(Michael
waits by an old dilapidated old shack. Then a pickup truck races through the
desert towards him. A man, Coyote, gets out of the passenger side and
approaches Michael.)
Coyote: Is that my payment? Medical nitroglycerin?
Michael: As promised. (He hands him the box. Coyote opens
it.)
Coyote: Ooh. You have no idea how hard it is to get this
kind of grade. Even with my contacts.
Michael: It's time for your end of the deal. Where's that
plane gonna be?
Coyote: They call me a couple of hours before with the
drop-off point. Keeps the DEA off our backs. So it's gonna be a while. You
might wanna stay out of the sun.
(He
says something in Spanish, and two other men exit the truck. Michael looks
suspicious.)
Coyote: Hey, hey, hey. Hey. Is there a problem? They're just
my cousins.
(Michael
looks at them, then follows Coyote towards the shack.)
[17.
INT. Motel. Day.]
(Kellerman
drags Sara, bound to the chair, into the bathroom. Sara stares at the bathtub
full of water.)
Kellerman: Now, after your father accessed this information, he
made three calls from his cell phone, all to you. (He empties Sara's purse
onto the side.) What did he tell you?
Sara: Just that he was coming back to Chicago.
Kellerman: Good. You're being honest. Good. Now, there's a half
an hour between when your father landed, and when he got home that is
unaccounted for. I know you stopped by his office. Did you see him there?
Sara: No. The last time I saw my father he was dead in his
study.
Kellerman: Did your father have anyone give you anything?
Sara: Do you think that I'm just withholding information
because I like hanging out with you? If I knew something, I would tell you. I
don't. I don't know anything about any of this.
Kellerman: Really? Then why did you give your father the file
on Lincoln Burrows? Why did you open the door for Scofield, help him escape?
Why did Scofield send you those coded notes? Why did you come to New Mexico to
meet him?
(Sara
looks at where he has emptied the contents of her purse - she stares at the
gold key. She suddenly realises what it might be.)
Kellerman: Don't try to float a babe-in-the-woods routine by
me. It's really gonna piss me off. So come on.
(Sara
remains silent. Kellerman grabs her and forces her into the water. Sara
struggles, then Kellerman pulls her out and she gasps for breath, coughing.)
Kellerman: Okay, come on. Shh, shh, shh. (He dries her face
with a towel.) You're okay. Shh. All right. Look, Sara...we're gonna have
to come to an understanding. You know that, right?
[18.
EXT. Road. Day.]
(Mahone
is driving his car, on the phone to the FBI Field Office.)
Wheeler
(on phone): Yeah, you were
right. They are coordinates. Put them into your GPS, it'll take you to a spot
in the New Mexico desert. It's in the middle of nowhere, basically.
Mahone: All right, thanks.
Wheeler: Yeah, no problem. Sir, who are you meeting...?
(Mahone
severs the connection.)
CUT
TO: Wheeler, who hangs up, disappointed.
Agent: What the hell is he doing?
Wheeler: He's keeping us out of the loop, that's what he's
doing.
[19.
INT. Shack. Day.]
Coyote: You know, constantly running from the law with a bad
heart...Mexico, where's I'm from has got a lot of great things but health care
ain't one of them. You all right? You look a little nervous.
Michael: I don't do this every day. I just wanna get the
information on that plane and uh...move on.
Coyote: Is that it?
Michael: That's it.
Coyote: Because I know who you are. Oh, you don't have to
worry. We can't go within 100 feet of a federal marshal because we got US and
Mexican warrants on our head. But, uh...this plane to Panama. Sit down.
(Michael
hesitates, but then sits. Coyote sits opposite. The other two men guard the
door.)
Coyote: This is all for your brother?
Michael: Yes.
Coyote: I got four brothers. Two in prison. Accept a call?
Yes. But break them out?
Michael: My brother gave me a baseball mitt for my 14th
birthday. I owed him.
Coyote: You're a better man than I am.
Michael: Time will tell. (He glances up at the men at the
doorway, and clears his throat.) Shouldn't they have called by now, about
the plane?
Coyote: Yeah. But you know, I have a question. I thought
that these came in glass vials, not plastic.
Michael: I thought so too. The guy I bought it from said he
packed it in plastic for transportation over long distances to prevent a fire
or an explosion.
Coyote
(disbelieving): Really? I
never heard of that. (He speaks Spanish to the guys on the door, one of them
walks outside.)
Michael: What's going on?
Coyote: We're gonna do a little quality control test.
Michael: It's the best available.
Coyote: We got time.
[20.
INT. Alley. Day.]
(T-Bag
huddles in a dark alley, wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt. He whimpers like a
wounded animal, wrapping the jacket sleeve around where he detached his own
hand. He hears a siren and looks up, panicked. He pulls out a GPS tracker - the
same device he told Geary was for blood pressure. A red dot flashes inside a
house symbol. T-Bag takes off running.)
[21.
INT. Hospital. Day.]
(Bellick
sits on the end of a hospital bed, being grilled by Detective Kathryn Slattery.)
Bellick: For the last time, some black male, early 20s,
jumped me from behind. I didn't get a good look at his face.
Slattery: Assailant attacked you from behind?
Bellick: That's what I just said.
Slattery: Yet he managed to make contact square on your
forehead.
Bellick: That's right.
Slattery: With what? A boomerang? Come on, why don't you tell
me what happened?
Bellick: Look, I'm a retired correctional officer out of
Illinois. How about showing some professional courtesy, honey?
(Slattery
raises an eyebrow, but walks away. Bellick watches her go and dials on his cell
phone.)
Geary
(v/o): This is Roy Geary. Leave a
message.
Bellick: You thieving son of a bitch. You'd better get down
on your knees and pray to God that I don't find you. Because if I do, mark my
words, I'm gonna gut you bow to stern!
[22.
INT. Hotel Room. Day.]
(Geary's
cell phone bleeps on the table of a luxurious hotel suite: '1 Message
Received'. Geary swans around the room wearing a bathrobe while the news plays
on television.)
TV
Anchor Woman : President Reynolds was
in Tallahassee, Florida, earlier this morning, attending a $5,000-a-plate
breakfast fundraiser for senator Martin Kleinhenz, who's running for
reelection. Later this afternoon, her press conference was derailed when a
reporter asked her to comment on Burrows' escape from custody. She declined.
It's become clear in her first month in office that she cannot separate herself
from this manhunt. And as long as it continues, pundits say that questions
about Burrows will...
(There's
a knock at the door. Geary switches off the TV and answers it. Standing outside
are three gorgeous hookers.)
Geary: Ladies. Let's get this party started.
[23.
EXT. Road. Day.]
Lincoln: For the last thirty years, I've hated you. You
walked out on me. You haven't even seen Michael.
Aldo: I've seen him before.
Lincoln: Not in the papers, Dad. I've been trying to work out
what kind of man abandons his family. Now I'm doing the same damn thing.
Aldo: You'll see him again. I'll make sure of it.
Lincoln: How much further?
Aldo: About three hours.
[24.
INT. Shack. Day.]
Coyote: It's gonna be a few minutes.
Michael: My brother should be here soon. I should go outside.
Make sure he can see me.
Coyote: That's a good idea. I'm gonna send Ernesto to do
that.
(He
speaks Spanish to one of the guys on the door, and he goes outside. Carlos
begins to test the reel oil. A cell phone rings.)
Coyote
(on phone): Hello. Si. (He
speaks Spanish, looking at Michael. Then he hangs up.)
Michael: Was that the call?
Coyote: Yes, it was.
Michael: About the plane?
(Coyote
looks at Carlos and asks him a question in Spanish. Carlos drips his finger in
the oil and puts it on his tongue. He answers Coyote in Spanish.)
Coyote: Sugar water. Now, you just made a big mistake,
blanquito.
Michael: I'm sorry. I'm sorry, okay? I'm not a chemist. The
guy I bought it from swore it was medical nitro. We both got screwed.
Coyote: Yeah, but only one of us is gonna pay for it.
Michael: Look, I just wanna get out of here, okay? And you
want your payment. My brother's gonna be here soon...we'll work something out.
Just name your price.
Coyote: I already named my price. You didn't come through. (He
pulls out a gun and points it at Michael's head.)
ACT

[25.
EXT. Shack. Day.]
(Ernesto
keeps watch outside. As he turns around, he is knocked out with a single punch.)
[26.
INT. Shack. Day.]
(Michael
sits in a chair at gunpoint.)
Coyote: When's your brother getting here?
Michael: You were planning on turning us in the whole time,
weren't you?
Coyote: When's he supposed to meet you here?!
(Suddenly,
Sucre bursts in with his own gun. He yells something in Spanish.)
Coyote: Drop it or I'm gonna shoot him.
Sucre: Let him go or I'll shoot you.
(They
shout at each other in Spanish. Coyote swings his gun towards Sucre, but Sucre
fires first, hitting Coyote in the shoulder. Coyote falls to the floor,
dropping his gun. Sucre shouts in Spanish, and both Michael and Carlos dive for
it. Michael gets there first. He and Sucre share a smile.)
[27.
INT. Motel Bathroom. Day.]
Kellerman: Where is it?
Sara: My father didn't give me anything!
Kellerman: Who are you risking your life for? Lincoln Burrows?
(He plugs an iron into a socket and turns it on.) A street thug. Why is
that your concern? I mean, is there somewhere in the Hippocratic oath where it
says, 'I pledge to risk my life for those who don't care about mine'? (He
puts on a pair of rubber gloves.) Because they don't care about yours.
Burrows and Michael Scofield, they just used you.
Sara: Are you surprised that there are people in the world
who stand up to people like you? Are you that far gone?
Kellerman: That's cute. Sad, but cute.
(He
picks up the now hot iron, then forces Sara into the water again. He plunges
the iron in after her, electrocuting her.)
[28.
INT. Hotel Room. Day.]
Hooker
#1 : A Cleveland what?
Geary: Don't worry, I'll talk you through it. And we got a
glass coffee table right here.
Hooker
#2 : Hell no!
Hooker
#3 : I'll do it for a thousand.
Geary: Five hundred.
Hooker
#3 : One thousand.
Geary: Seven-fifty.
Hooker
#3 : All right.
(Geary
heads to the closet to get more cash from the rucksack. As he removes some
bundles, he finds a small tracking device, a red light on it flashing.)
Geary: What the hell?
[There's
a loud knocking at the door. Before Geary can think about answering it, it's
slammed back to reveal T-Bag standing there with a murderous expression, the
hood of his jacket still up over his head. He points at the hookers.]
T-Bag: Leave.
(The
hookers hurry out.)
T-Bag: You know, it's amazing what you can pick up at an
army-navy store. (He throws the GPS tracking system to Geary.)
Geary
(backing away, pleading): All
that torture stuff, that was Bellick's idea. And if you ask me, he took the
whole thing way too far.
(T-Bag
picks up a champagne bottle from a bucket and puts it over his shoulder.)
Geary: Listen, why don't I just give you half the money and
we call it a day, huh? All right, sixty-forty! Come on, T, we can deal.
(T-Bag
just stares at him, menacingly.)
[29.
INT. Shack. Day.]
(The
three Mexican guys are tied up and sitting in chairs. Sucre pushes his gun into
Coyote's neck.)
Sucre: Where's the plane gonna land?
Coyote: Kiss my ass, cobarde.
(Sucre
glares at him, then walks over to the window where Michael is standing.)
Sucre: What are we gonna do?
Michael: I don't know. We're not gonna get across the border
on the ground. Without that plane, we're screwed.
(Coyote
is dripping a puddle of blood on the floor.)
Carlos: He's losing too much blood. He'll never make it like
this.
Sucre: Should've thought of that before he tried to kill
us!
Carlos: We gotta take him to the hospital, or else he'll
die. Please.
Sucre
(to Coyote): The plane, and
we'll let you go.
(Ernesto
speaks to Coyote urgently in Spanish.)
Coyote: Finley Road. Off Highway 8. There's an airstrip
there.
Ernesto: There. Okay? Now let us go!
Sucre
(to Michael): Okay, let's go.
Ernesto/Carlos: No, no, no!
Sucre: Michael, let's go.
Carlos: No, no, don't go. Please.
(Michael
stares at them helplessly.)
Sucre: Michael, let's go!
Carlos: Please, help us.
Ernesto: Don't do this! Huh?
Carlos: Don't do this, don't do it. Please.
(Michael
clearly doesn't know what to do.)
Sucre: Let's go. Michael, if we were bleeding, they would
not lift a finger. You know that. He was gonna kill us both. Let's go!
Carlos: That's not true!
Sucre: Michael, we've got to get to that plane and we'll
call when we're safe. Let's go now, please.
Carlos: Don't do this! Please, don't do this, okay?!
(Sucre
yells something in Spanish.)
Carlos: Don't do it, all right, don't listen to him! Please!
[30.
INT. Motel Bathroom. Day.]
Kellerman: I care about you. This is not what I wanted, Sara.
(He
tries to brush her wet hair away from her face but she pulls away from him. His
cell phone rings.)
Kellerman
(on phone): Kellerman.
Kim
(v/o): What's going on with Sara? Has
she told you anything?
Kellerman
(whispers, to Sara): Don't go
anywhere. (He leaves the room. To Kim, on phone.) Not yet.
Kim: I trust you've been persuasive.
Kellerman: Yes, absolutely.
Kim: Then kill her.
(Kellerman
glances back at Sara. He doesn't want to do that.)
Kellerman: Well, if she knows something...
Kim: You disobey me, you are done! Do you understand me?
Put her in the ground, Paul!

INT. Hotel. Day.]
[Music
- 'I'm The Only Hell Mama Ever Raised' by Johnny Paycheck]
(T-Bag
lounges in the hotel room, eating strawberries and drinking champagne. He
reaches into the bag of money next to him, picks out a cigarette, then finds a
receipt. As he looks at it, a smile creeps over his face.)
[32.
INT. Shack. Day.]
Sucre: Michael. Let's go. Michael!
(Michael
has made his decision. He goes over to Coyote and cuts him free.)
Michael: Hold still.
Sucre: Michael, you're doing it wrong. Let's get out of
here. Now he's gonna call the cops, he’ll go get his buddies or something...
Michael: He's not gonna make it.
Sucre: We'll call when we get safe. Let's go, Michael,
let's go!
(Michael
ignores him, and goes over to cut the other guys free.)
Carlos: Thank you, thank you.
Michael: You gotta get him to a hospital right away.
(Carlos
and Ernesto speak in Spanish to each other, Ernesto goes to grab Coyote, Carlos
runs to start the truck.)
Coyote: Wait, wait, wait. (to Michael) Hey, man.
Forget Finley Road. Plane's gonna stop at the 7-mile marker, Route 4, at
sunset. It's gonna stop for five minutes, then it's gonna go to Oaxaca, Mexico.
You miss it, you're outta luck.
[33.
EXT. Hospital. Day.]
(Bellick
walks out of the Emergency Room entrance, as two EMTs are unloading a gurney.)
EMT: He bled out on the way over.
Nurse: Any ID?
EMT: Yeah, Roy Geary. Just an out-of-stater.
(Bellick
stops, walks over and pulls the sheet back. Geary's head and face are covered
in blood.)
EMT: You know him?
Bellick: He's a friend of mine.
Detective
Slattery : Mr. Bellick?
Bellick: Yeah?
Detective
Slattery : Would you mind answering a
few more questions?
[34.
EXT. Desert Back Road. Day.]
(Mahone
is parked up, loading his gun. His cell phone rings.)
Mahone: Yeah?
CUT
TO: Pam Mahone, sitting on her bed at home.
Pam: It's Pam. What's going on?
Mahone: I just wanted to say hey.
Pam: Well, are you all right? You said it was important.
Mahone: I know things got kind of ugly toward the...you
know, the end. I got ugly. But I want you to know that there were circumstances
that...it was better that you and Cameron...that you were not with me.
Pam: Why are you telling me this now?
Mahone: If I had to do it all over again, I'd do it
different, you know? We'd still be a family. I'd give anything for that. I just
wanted you to know.
Pam: Alex...what's going on?
Mahone: Nothing. I...I just wanted to call to say that I was
uh...that I'm sorry. About everything.
Pam: Where are you right now? I can come get you.
Mahone: Wouldn't that be nice, huh?
Pam: No, I'm serious. Where are you?
Mahone: One more thing. If you hear anything in the media...
Pam: What? What are you talking about?
Mahone
(hesitates): I love you. Give
Cam a kiss for me, okay? (He hangs up quickly, upset. Then he gets out of
the car and walks past the same 'No Trespassing' sign that Michael did earlier,
to get to the shack.)
[35.
EXT. Shack. Day.]
(Michael
checks his watch. It's 5:45pm.)
Michael: Well, I'm glad I told you about this place.
Sucre: I'm glad I figured out how to work a GPS. Could you
make it a little more difficult next time?
Michael: I owe you one.
Sucre: No, we're even. But we gotta leave.
(Footsteps
approach, and Lincoln walks around the side of the shack.)
Michael: Linc.
Lincoln: Hey, buddy. (to Sucre.) How you doing?
Michael: Where's LJ?
Lincoln: He's safe. The money?
Michael: I'll tell you later. We gotta go.
Lincoln: I brought someone. Dad?
(Aldo
Burrows walks around the side of the shack. Michael stares at him, shocked.)
Michael: We've met before.
[36.
INT. Motel. Day.]
(Kellerman
sits on the bed, he's breaking down. It's clear that he doesn't want to kill
Sara. He tries to gear himself up and storms back into the bathroom.)
Kellerman: This is happening right now, okay? Don't make me do
this. Don't make me do this.
Sara: Even if I knew, I wouldn't tell you.
Kellerman: You wouldn't? Really? Are you that stupid? Are you
that stupid?! Because now you're going to die! You're going to die. And all you
had to do was tell me what your father gave you.
Sara: I know my options. I can not tell you and die, or I
can tell you and still die.
Kellerman: No, wrong. Sara, come on. Smarten up for once in
your life. Please.
Sara: Go to hell.
(Kellerman
grabs Sara's head and holds it just above the water.)
Kellerman: You know what? Drowning is horrific. Don't get me
wrong. But once you give in, and just let the water come into your lungs,
there's a certain euphoria, I hear. I guess as a junkie, I thought maybe you'd
appreciate that. (He hesitates again.) You did this to yourself.
(Sara
prays quietly under her breath. Kellerman forces her under the water.)
