Fernando Sucre wasalmost apprehended at the airport in Ixtapa. (BeforeMahone can voice his opinion on that, he looks up to see Bellick standing inthe office doorway.) Mahone: Excuse me. My office, please. [INT.Mahone's Office. Day.] Mahone: What the hell are you doing here? Bellick: I came for my damn money. Mahone: Your what? Bellick: The Patoshik reward money. See, how a reward worksis, someone gets rewarded the money. And since I'm the one who bloodhoundedHaywire, the money is rewarded to me. Mahone (in disbelief): You come to myoffice....? Bellick: If you'd returned any of my calls, I wouldn't havehad to! We had a deal. Mahone: The deal was that you stay under the radar. Is thisunder the radar, Brad? No, this is an office full of federal agents who nowhave all seen your face. Bellick: Hey, I don't care what they see. Hell, if you don'tpay up, I'll go out there and drop trou. (He sits down at Mahone's desk andputs his feet up on it.) (Mahoneexplodes, kicking Bellick's legs off the desk and then treading on one of hisfeet.) Mahone: Patoshik died, you stupid son of a bitch. There'spaperwork involved. Of course you're gonna get the money. But you're gonna haveto be patient. And if you ever come in my office again...you will not onlynever see the cash, you'll never see another sunrise. (He steps offBellick's foot.) Now, are we gonna keep crying about money you've alreadygot coming to you, or do you wanna make some more? Bellick: I'm listening. Mahone: Ever been to Mexico? [INT.Hotel. Day.] Lincoln: If we give this thing to the press, the government'sgonna discredit it. Just like they did with the tape we made. Sara: Okay. So, what do we do with it? Michael: Dad said there are still people in theadministration he was working with. If we give the tape to them, they'll finallyhave the smoking gun they need to bring Caroline Reynolds down. But they'llrelease the tape, not us. Sara: And how can she discredit her own appointees? Sure. Lincoln: We're gonna give the only thing that can exonerateme to someone who works for the government? The same government that set meup?! Michael: We'll have to find someone we can trust. Someonehonest. Lincoln: Jane Philips. She'll know someone that can help us.She worked with Dad. She's watching LJ. I trust her, Michael. She'll do it. She'llfind someone. Michael: Well, I hope you're right. Because this is our lastshot. [EXT.Secluded Alley in Chicago. Man: The serial numbers have been cleaned, the chamber'sbeen scraped to throw off ballistics, just in case you're not, youknow...shooting at tin cans. Kellerman: No, I'm hunting bigger game than that. (He picksup a pistol and cocks it.) Man: Hey. Hey, hey! (Kellermanshoots the man dead.) OPENINGCREDITS. [INT.Prison Visitation Room. Stewardess: Pretzels, and bags of Krispity Krunch. Bellick: Pretzels. Stewardess: Just a few minutes. (Sheheads down the plane into first class. T-Bag holds out an empty glass.) She's gonna be okay. (C-Note is upset.) Because of you. She'sgonna be okay because of you. C-Note: Yeah. I need to know...that you forgive me. Kacee: I know that. Of course I forgive you. C-Note: You know, when Dede was like 4, she wanted to watchthis video. And I kept telling her, you know, after the game. After the game, okay? She kept asking and kept asking and I lost my patience and I snapped ather. I snapped at her real bad. Well, she went over into the corner and...Ididn't even go over and say anything. Kacee: Why are you getting yourself upset over somethingthat happened years ago? Years ago, baby. Dede loves you. C-Note: I want you to do something for me. I want you totell her that I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. And that my baby girl means everythingto me. I want you to tell her that she means everything to me, okay? You tellher that every day. (Abuzzer sounds and an officer enters.) Officer: Time. Ma'am. C-Note: No matter what. Tell her. Tell her, okay? No matterwhat, he loves her, okay? Officer: Ma'am. C-Note (crying): Please. Please, you gotta tell her.You have to tell her, baby... Kacee: Okay, okay, okay... Officer: Ma'am, you really have to go. C-Note: Tell her that her daddy loves her. (Kaceekisses him and then leaves the room. The officer closes the door leaving C-Notealone.) [EXT.Street in Chicago. Day.] (Spectatorsare gathered, waving "Reynolds Again" banners.) Day.] (Mahonedips his hand into the fountain.) Mahone: He asked you to come to this fountain specifically? FakeCooper Green: Yeah. Mahone: Let me take a look at that park map. Why not thefountain on the east side of the park? FakeCooper: Because this was closer tothe payphone they called me at. Mahone: No, because this one's closer to them. They tell youto meet them at the statue, then the fountain...then they send you to thebuilding across the park. Why? Because they wanna keep you in their sights.Because they're watching you. But from where? The statue, fountain,building...There. The hotel. [INT.Hotel Room. Day.] (Sara,Michael, Lincoln and the real Cooper Green are sat round the laptop.) CooperGreen: You know what you have? Michael: I think we have a pretty good idea. Lincoln: What you doing? CooperGreen: Getting all unique data fromthe memory key...so we can identify this key from any other...label it, start aproper record of the chain of custody to present to the judges I trust. Lincoln: Cool. CooperGreen (to the laptop): No. Michael: What's wrong? CooperGreen: No, it's the date stamp on thememory key. It's the copy date. Sara: I'm sorry, what's that? CooperGreen: It's the date the damn thingwas copied. Not the date that the conversation was originally recorded. Lincoln: So what? I mean, you heard what was on the tape. CooperGreen: Without a time stamp ofexactly when this conversation took place, we can't prove that this is TerrenceSteadman talking after you supposedly killed him. This could've happened a yearbefore his funeral. No, it can't be authenticated so it can't be admitted toany court as evidence. Lincoln: People died because of this. My family died. CooperGreen: I'm sorry. Legally speaking, this tape is useless. [INT.Hotel Reception. Day.] (Mahoneapproaches the desk.) Clerk: Hi. Mahone: Alexander Mahone, FBI. Have either of these menchecked in? (He holds up mugshots of Michael and Lincoln.) Clerk: Not that I've seen. Mahone: How about this woman? (He holds up a picture ofSara.) Clerk: Yeah. Um. Room 1006. Mahone: Ten-o-six. Ten-o-six, thank you. (He runs for thestairs.) [INT.Hotel Room. Day.] Michael: It's not over. We're this close. Lincoln: You've already said it's done. CooperGreen: Actually, I said it couldn'thelp exonerate you in a court of law. Maybe it can help you outside the law. Lincoln: How? CooperGreen: Well, we all heard theconversation. There's more to this tape than potential proof of Lincoln'sinnocence. There is proof of Caroline Reynolds' guilt. Guilt about somethingshe does not want anyone to know anything about. Michael: So we blackmail her. CooperGreen: I'm an officer of the court. Ididn't say that. Sara: Blackmail in exchange for what? Michael: A presidential pardon. Lincoln (excited): So the woman thatset me up is gonna set me free. Michael: I think she'll sign it with her own hand. [EXT.Rooftop.
